Hathigumpha showing oldest Jain art work from stone age

Hathigumpha is the oldest known & undisputed evidence of Jain Statues and Jain art. There is written evidence on the walls of Gumpha that King Kharavela carried out the repair work of Hathigumpha in year 250BC. Those idols were there for ages and were in need of repairs.

Due to limitations of carbon dating technology its impossible to find exact age of stones. But its believed that Hathigumpha was made in stone age.
