Pythagorus attended Samosaran of Mahaveera

Pythagoras of Samos (c. 570 – c. 495 BC) was an Ionian Greek philosopher and the eponymous founder of the Pythagoreanism movement. His political and religious teachings were well known in Magna Graecia and influenced the philosophies of Plato, Aristotle, and, through them, Western philosophy. He is believed to have traveled to India (approx 550 BC) to attend Jain Tirthankar Mahaveer's Samosaran (Samavasaran) at the banks of River Rijuvaluka (ancient river) near town of Pawapuri.  Pythagorus was vegetarian,  he believed in ahimsa, reincarnation, talked about his previous lives, believed in Soul that can be purified through penance. Its believed that he received this knowledge from omniscient Lord Mahaveer.

During 325BC, when Alexandar came to india, one of Jain Muni Kolonos (Kalyan Muni) went to Greece with him. There are statues of Kolonos in Greece.
