Re: History during Mahavira

Mahavira was born in Kundalpur. He attained nirvana from Pawapuri. Mahavira was born in a royal family = father = Sidharath, mother = Trishla ; who ruled kundalpur. Queen Trishla (also known as Priyakarini) belonged to family of powerful kings. She was daughter (and some literature says sister of) King Chetaka, king of Vaishali. And belonged to Licchavi Clan. They belonged to Harhyanka dynasty. King Chetaka's other daughter Chellana & Her husband Srenik (King Bimbisar) have lots of stories of attending Mahavira's Samosaran (preachings).  Shrenik asked Mahavir about true story of Ramayana during Sammosaran. Bimbisar (Srenik)'s son Ajatshatru captured his own father Bimbisar and put him in jail. Bimbisar was Jain king. Ajatshatru also attacked Chetaka & fought fierce war spanning several years to win Vaishali from Chetaka.  Ajatshatru followed both Jain & Budhha religions. harhyanka dynasty Chetaka Licchavi cl...

Rishabha

Image
Its believed that Rishabha was worshipped as Bull god in some countries. Rishabha was called in different names like Reshef, Apollo, Tesheb, Ball, and the Bull God of the Mediterranean people. A bronze image of Reshef (Rishabha) of the 12th century B.C. was discovered at Alasia near Enkomi in Cyprus. Epic of Gilgamesh (Published from Great Britain) – mentions that after a massive epidemic, around 3600 B.C. Gilgamesh, the 5th monarch, who ruled over a major part of Mid-Asia, went on a pilgrimage to India for 45 days. His edifices on stone blocks clearly indicate that he was an adherent of the Shraman religion. In India he paid tribute to Ach¹rya (sage) Uttanapishtim, subsequently adopting the principles of Ahimsa, and on returning to his native land, promoted this religion  According to Shri V.G. N¹yar “There is authentic evidence to prove that it was the Phoenicians who spread the worship of Rishabha in Central Asia, Egypt and Greece. He was worshipped as ‘Bull God’...

Why do we use "Muni Sree 108" "Shree 1008 Mahavira" in Jainism

1008 denotes : * 1008 shubh (auspicious) marks on the divine body of a Tirthankar. such as sun, moon, srivatsa, lotus etc * Tirthankar is said to have 1008 names (Veetaraag, Devaadhidev, Jineshwar, Kewali etc). Belief is that Indra worshiped Tirthankaras by 1008 names (Like in Hinduism Shiva, Lakshmi, Ganesh and Vishnu ar e said to have 1008 names each based on SahasraPuranas) * There are 1008 petals in the lotus erected by Devendra in the Samavasaran of a Tirthankar. * Tirthankars have 1008 good attributes such as infinite power, infinite knowledge etc. * In 1008, number 1 represents pure soul , 8 represents the eight karamas and 00 in between represent an infinite distance between the two (pure soul and karamas). * 1008 represents symbol of respect. When they say "Tirthankar Shree 1008 Mahavria" - it means Sree-sree-sree 1008 times vandana. 108 denotes: * The total number of ways of Karma influx (Aasrav). 4 Kashays (anger, pride, conceit, greed) x 3 karanas (mind, speech, b...

Theory: Aryans traveled from East to Mideast instead of Mideast to Ganges

Theory: Aryans traveled from East to Mideast instead of Mideast to east Interesting theory, that claims that Asura's & Shudras were kicked out of India who traveled to Babylon in ??BCE & taught them religions of mighty gods, air travel, weapons etc.  Since the British made a huge mistake in writing the wrong history on Indian region in the world, The "Aryan journey" thought from Mideast -->messopotamia --> Ganges is reversed!! ASURAS-DEMONS OF RIG VEDA IN SUMERIA, BABYLONIA, ASSYRIA: Credit- London Swaminathan's work Those who read the history of Assyria, Babylonia and Sumeria will come across a lot of surprises. Following research shows that the Asuras of the Rig Vedic time migrated to Iraq and Turkey region. After a certain period, Rig Veda stops talking about lineages of certain Rishis or Kings. It shows clearly that they were pushed out of India by the Vedic Hindus to Iran, Iraq, and Turkey. Iran's link to Vedic civilizatio...

Similarities in Baylon Sumerian and Jain Cosmology (Nebu & Adinath Tirthankar)

Image
Adinath (Rishab deva) is first tirthankara’s of Jains. He is refered in Riga Vedas (~1500BC) Aryan Hindu Vedas. One could derive hints of Adinath’s father in Sumerian/ Bablyon’s texts that is dated 3150BCE-2686BCE. There are several similarities that could be established in Babylon gods & goddesses to Jain Cosmology as well. Its important to note that Sumerian inscriptions may reflect that he was worshiped in 3150BCE, validating that Adinath (Rishab deva) was born much long ago in ancient times. Sumerian Jainism Notes Nabi/ Nabu/nebo & Marduc - parent  were & worshiped as gods, Nabhi was father of first tirthankar Adinath. Mother name was marudevi. Adinath set the foundation of Ikshvaku vansh in India Nabu crescent moon god, Nabu the warrior Nabu was son of Marduk, was oracle, taught writing, God Nabu/ Nabi arrived to that region, created humans in a lab Nabhi was not...

Nebuchandnezzar-II of Babylon and Jain Mahavira

Image
Inscriptions  found about Nebuchandnezzar-II (not I above) of Babylon have been documented by the West. The inscriptions of which a translation follows was found at Babylon by Sir Harford Jones Bridges, and now forms part of the  India House Collection . Inscription reads him " as a worshipper of Nebo, Yav and Istar".  Nebo is translated as Nabi/ Nabu as well in same texts. The India Museum in Bombay housed an inscription tablet of Nebuchadnezzar II from the ruins of Babylon (today's southern Iraq), collected by the Bombay presidency in 1797, the Museum displayed it. This tablet is in British Museum now. From incriptions, he wroshipped Nebu & Marduk (Adinath's Parents = Nabhi & Marudevi) & created temples of gods. Around 550BC, Nebuchadnezzar II traveled towards East, as found through several tablets written incriptions found in Afghan. Mahavira's samasaran was one of the most revered events of its time.It could be established that Nebuchanezza...
